Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler is likely going to be the primary back while running back Melvin Gordon remains out, but that may not be a great thing. Ekeler is expected to share carries with Justin Jackson, but when Gordon was hurt last season, the pair struggled a bit. Ekeler has found the most success as a change-of-pace back so far, and without a bruiser like Gordon, he doesn't seem to be able to break free as often. His pass-catching abilities mean he's always a threat for a huge play, but when Gordon was out last year, the duo only averaged 84 YPG. Obviously, he should be played if he's available because he could have a huge game. This could be a real trendsetter for the season either way though.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
