6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler may get another shot as the starter this season. Ekeler got the call in Week 7 when starter Melvin Gordon sat out a game due to a balky hamstring, and he's in line to possibly be the starter this week if Gordon can't go due to another nagging bit of soreness in his knee. Facing an Arizona defensive front that has been very generous, Ekeler could be in for a big game even if he's not in the lineup on the first snap. With Gordon hobbled and the playoffs in their sights, LA will likely want to lean on Ekeler no matter what. If the game turns into a blowout, Ekeler could find himself playing the primary role to run out the clock.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
