Austin Cindric has had a disappointing 2023 campaign. However, on Saturday afternoon, the Team Penske driver qualified seventh at Talladega. The Ford car is notoriously very good on the 2.66-mile superspeedway. Cindric has not fared well in two Spring appearances but did finish ninth last Fall. The No. 2 car had never qualified better than 15th. Now, he starts seventh on Sunday. The only question may be can he avoid trouble.
