Columbus Blue Jackets forward Artemi Panarin scored a goal, put seven shots on net and clinched the win in the shootout to earn Columbus a spot in the playoffs. With the season on the line, it was Panarin and deadline-acquisition Ryan Dzingel that each scored a third-period goal in the most crucial game of their season. Panarin now has 28 goals on the season and a career-high 85 points. Despite recording points in six of his last seven games, Panarin has been struggling recently to generate shots on net, having almost as many shots in this game (seven) as he did in the previous six games (eight) in that stretch. It was a pleasant and timely return to shot production for Panarin, who is averaging 2.4 shots per game, and hopefully it is something he can carry over into the playoffs.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
