Veteran goaltender Antti Raanta signed a two-year contract with the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday. It carries a $2 million AAV. The unrestricted free agent has shown flashes of brilliance at time but he's had issues staying healthy and has surpassed 30 games played just twice in his eight-year career. Last season with the Arizona Coyotes, he appeared in just 12 games due to injuries and had a .905 save percentage and a disappointing 3.36 GAA. The 32-year-old has a career .919 save percentage and 2.46 GAA. The Hurricanes also added Frederik Andersen to their goalie tandem for 2021-22 and he too is coming off injuries so Raanta could be asked to play very close to a 50/50 split. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
