Antonio Gibson Has A Chance To Play

Washington Football Team rookie running back Antonio Gibson (toe) went through individual drills for the second day in a row on Thursday and has a chance to play in Week 16 against the Panthers. The 22-year-old has missed the last two games while dealing with a painful case of turf toe, but he could be back in action for fantasy managers this weekend. If the rookie returns and sees his normal workload as the primary back, he'll have RB2 upside against a Panthers Defense that has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to the position. If he's held out, J.D. McKissic and Peyton Barber will split the backfield workload, with McKissic have RB2 appeal in PPR leagues. McKissic and Barber will lose their fantasy appeal in most leagues if Gibson makes his return on Sunday.
