Anthony Rendon Says He'll Be Ready
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon said he didn't have much time for baseball activities to stay ready for the season during the coronavirus shutdown, but he thinks he'll be able to flip the switch by the time the season begins on July 24 in Oakland. Manager Joe Maddon also isn't worried that Rendon won't have enough time to get ready for the season because of his demeanor and track record for success. The 30-year-old is coming off the best season of his seven-year career, hitting .319/.412/.598 with 34 home runs, 44 doubles and 126 RBI in 146 games for the Nationals. Rendon hit .328/.413/.590 with three homers, seven doubles and 15 RBI in 17 playoff games en route to a World Series championship. Expect Rendon to come off the board in the second round of fantasy drafts.
