Anthony Rendon Runs The Bases Monday
6 months agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (hamstring) ran the bases on Monday for the first time as part of his rehab. There remains no timetable for Rendon to return from a serious left-hamstring injury, so fantasy managers in deeper formats shouldn't expect to see him back in the big leagues until sometime in the second half of the season. The oft-injured 34-year-old is probably going to need a lengthy minor-league rehab assignment as well before the Angels reinstate him from the injured list. In his four seasons with the Halos, Rendon hasn't played in more than 58 games in a single campaign after making his first All-Star team in 2019 in his last year with the Washington Nationals. Before his latest injury, he was hitting .267 (20-for-75) with no homers and three RBI in 19 games. Fantasy managers in mixed leagues should continue to let him languish on the waiver wire.
