Anthony Miller Hoping To Improve Preparation
4 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver Anthony Miller is working with the team's coaching staff to improve his preparation before games. Miller got off to a slow start in 2019 after offseason shoulder surgery, producing only four receptions through his first four games. But the third-year receiver ended strong, finishing up the season with 52 catches for 656 yards and two scores. Miller has a wealth of talent on the field, but Bears receivers coach Mike Furrey indicates that it is his preparation that is separating him from NFL stardom. "In the middle of the season, I believe Anthony really started having an idea and understanding what it takes not just how to step inside the four-inch line and go play football, but how to start developing himself as a professional through a process leading up to a game,” Furrey said. Miller will have plenty of boom/bust potential heading into 2020.
