4 years agoFree-agent veteran starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez threw 100 pitches in a bullpen session in West Palm Beach, Fla., and is considered fully stretched out as he searches for a job. The 37-year-old right-hander has thrown for scouts several times this spring, and he could be a nice addition for a team in need of a savvy innings-eater. Sanchez won't be lighting any radar guns up and won't be a recommended fantasy streamer if he gets an opportunity to pitch in a team's rotation, however. In 11 starts for the Washington Nationals in the abbreviated 2020 season, Sanchez had a rough 6.62 ERA and 1.66 WHIP while posting a 7.3 K/9 over 53 innings. He allowed 39 earned runs and gave up 11 long balls while striking out 43 and walking 18.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
