Angels Agree With Julio Teheran
5 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels agreed to a one-year deal with starting pitcher Julio Teheran on Thursday, according to a source familiar with the deal. Financial terms of the deal weren't immediately disclosed. Teheran is expected to join Dylan Bundy, Andrew Heaney, Shohei Ohtani and Griffin Canning in the starting rotation in 2020. Teheran, 28, went 10-11 with a 3.81 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 162 strikeouts in 174 2/3 innings in his 33 starts for the Braves last season. The two-time All-Star has walked 4.3 hitters per nine innings each of the last two years, though, and he can be a frustrating commodity to own in fantasy because of his inconsistency. Moving to the American League won't be easy, but Anaheim isn't a bad landing spot for Teheran.
