Andrei Vasilevskiy Turns In Stellar Performance
7 years agoTampa Bay Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy made 36 saves on 38 shots to help the Bolts take Game 4 and even the series with the Capitals at 2-2. This was the second straight game Vasilevskiy stopped 36 of 38 shots offered by the Washington Capitals. Vasilevskiy at times was standing on his head, as Washington heavily outshot Tampa Bay, but the 23-year-old was equal to the task, making some dazzling saves. Vasilevskiy has really turned his performance around this series and should ease the nerves of those thinking of giving him some run in DFS. One thing worth noting, however, as the Lightning return to Amalie Arena for Game 5, is that the road team has won every game in this series. Vasilevskiy has a 5-3 record at home in the postseason, compared to a 5-1 record on the road.
