Andre Drummond Acquired by Cavaliers
5 years agoDetroit Pistons center Andre Drummond has been traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for guard Brandon Knight, center John Henson, and a second-round pick. It's a quite shocking move by the Cavs who aren't in the playoff race and aren't expected to be competitive the rest of the way. Drummond is able to opt out after the season and become a unrestricted free agent this summer. Cleveland does hold his Bird rights, so they can offer him the largest contract. Drummond's fantasy value should stay the same with Tristan Thompson likely headed to the bench. It's unlikely that Knight and Henson make much of an impact in Detroit, so they can be left on the waiver wire going forward.
