Amanda Nunes Retires As The Women's GOAT After UFC 289 Win
2 years agoIt was yet another dominant performance for the women's MMA GOAT, Amanda Nunes, as she defended her bantamweight championship against Irene Aldana on Saturday. In 25 minutes of action, Nunes tallied 142 significant strikes compared to that of Aldana's 41. Nunes kept the pressure on for 25 minutes, constantly beating Aldana to the punch. Nunes was also very active in the wrestling department, landing six of her 13 takedown tries. After the bout, Nunes announced her retirement, opening the door for a new champion to be crowned in the women's bantamweight division.
