Aljamain Sterling walked out of the Octagon at UFC 288 on Saturday the same as he walked in, as the UFC's bantamweight champion. After five tough rounds of action with future Hall of Famer Henry Cejudo, Sterling earned a split decision (48-47, 47-48, 48-47). In 25 minutes of action, Sterling used his superior striking to land 132 significant strikes, compared to that of the 81 landed by Cejudo. Sterling was able to avoid all of Cejudo's takedowns, which was a big key to earning the victory. Sterling now has a nine-fight winning streak, and a showdown with Sean O'Malley apparently is on the horizon.--Matt Bricker
