Alex Verdugo Crushes Game-Winning Two-Run Shot

Boston Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo had gone 118 at-bats before crushing a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning Monday that proved to be the game-winner in a 5-4 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. Verdugo went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. The home run was his 10th of the year. Verdugo was dropped to sixth in the lineup recently, but with a .318/.400/.545 slash line in his last seven games and Jarren Duran slumping, he could make his return to the two-spot soon. Despite his limited power of late, Verdugo remains an excellent all-around fantasy option.
