2 years agoWashington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin helped the team beat New Jersey 6-3 on Monday, recording his 122nd career game-winning goal, which puts him second on the all-time list. The Great Eight was previously tied with Gordie Howe and now has only Jaromir Jagr (135) ahead of him. Ovechkin is also closing in on Wayne Gretzky's all-time record for most road goals scored. He recorded his 397th marker away from home, which is just six fewer than Gretzky managed during his illustrious career. Washington's captain has opened his 18th campaign in inconsistent form, with four of his six points coming in one game, but he's still an elite sniper and should have another productive season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
