Alex Collins Questionable Heading Into Sunday
Alex Collins (groin) was listed as questionable on the team's final injury report for Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Collins was held out of practice on Thursday but returned to a limited showing on Friday and is likely to suit up this Sunday as the team's primary running back. He played fewer than 50% of the offensive snaps last Monday night, but he saw the ball 17 times compared to a combined seven touches for the trio of Rashaad Penny, Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas. Collins didn't do much with his touches, though, totaling 44 yards. The Jaguars are a much better matchup than the Saints, but the biggest issue will be overcoming quarterback Geno Smith's rough play under center. Collins will be a low-floor, low-ceiling RB2/3.
