Alex Bregman Hitting .413 Since August 1
5 years agoHouston Astros shortstop Alex Bregman will look to continue his torrid stretch at the plate when the team hosts the Mariners on Saturday. After hitting only .233 in the month of July, Bregman has been an unstoppable force. Since Aug. 1, Bregman is 50-for-121 (.413) with one triple, seven home runs, 18 doubles, 31 runs scored and 36 runs batted in. He has five runs batted in over his last four games and is hitting .455 in the month of September. Bregman has a juicy matchup Saturday against the Mariners expected starter, left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. In 138 at-bats against left-handed pitching, Bregman is slugging an impressive .667 on the season.
