Florida Panthers center Aleksander Barkov skated in his 500th career game on Monday and marked the milestone with an assist in a 3-2 overtime loss to Carolina. He combined with Carter Verhaeghe on a Frank Vatrano goal that made it 1-1 in the third period, and Eetu Luostarinen put the Panthers ahead, but they couldn't hang on. Barkov is up to 22 points in 21 games with 77 shots, 17 hits, and a plus-seven rating. He's an elite center who makes his linemates better as well, so Vatrano and Verhaeghe look set for a productive week with three more games on Florida's schedule.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
