Al-Farouq Aminu Grabs 15 Boards Against Wizards
6 years agoPortland Trail Blazers power forward Al-Farouq Aminu was all over the glass on Monday night against the Washington Wizards. Aminu grabbed 15 rebounds and added 16 points, on 6-for-8 shooting from the field. He also contributed three three-pointers and one steal in 32 minutes of work. The Wizards have been getting destroyed on the glass without starting center Dwight Howard (buttocks) and Aminu took advantage. Aminu has always been a bubble guy for adds in 12-team or deeper leagues, but if owners are in need of solid three-pointers and boards from the forward position you could do worst. His shooting and defensive versatility will guarantee he plays at least 28 minutes a night, but he’ll always have his ceiling capped playing with ball dominant guards in Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. Who in this game alone combined for 41 field-goal attempts, so Aminu will never get the touches to be a consistent offensive weapon. Aminu’s next game is against the Orlando Magic on Thursday night.
