AJ Allmendinger Earns Fourth Straight Daytona 500 Top-10 Finish
10 months agoAJ Allmendinger sure does have a knack for finishing near the front in the Daytona 500. Despite getting an early-race penalty on Monday evening and going two laps down, Allmendinger was able to rebound for a sixth-place finish when the checkered flag flew over the 2024 Great American Race. That makes it four Daytona 500 starts in a row that Allmendinger has finished inside the top 10. This is also his second sixth-place finish in a row in The Great American Race, as the Kaulig Racing driver finished in that place in the 2023 Daytona 500 as well. He also has zero DNFs in all 11 Daytona 500s that he has raced in as well, a very impressive feat and a sign that Allmendinger knows how to avoid the wrecks at Daytona.
