The Washington Football Team has released veteran running back Adrian Peterson. Peterson had spent the past two seasons in Washington, totaling 1940 yards and 12 touchdowns in 31 games. Peterson's chances of landing a starting role this close to the season seem slim, especially with most contending teams already set at the position. Does a rebuilding team need a 35-year-old running back? Maybe Peterson winds up back with Washington later in the season at a cheaper salary, but for now, there's not enough upside to draft him in eight and 10-team leagues.
