10 months agoThe Chicago Cubs will call up infielder Addison Russell from the minors on Wednesday, according to a source. Ben Zobrist was scratched from the lineup on Tuesday for personal reasons, so perhaps Russell will replace him on the active roster. Russell finished up a suspension for domestic violence and will be more of a utility player for the Cubs this time around, mostly at second base. The 25-year-old was once a top prospect, but he's fallen a long way and should only be in consideration for those in NL-only leagues. He was hitting .222 (10-for-45) with three home runs and 13 RBI in 12 games for Triple-A Iowa on his rehab assignment.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
