6 years agoKansas City Royals second baseman/shortstop Adalberto Mondesi is crazy fast, but it's not clear if that's going to be enough to steal him a ton of bases in the majors. In 2016, Mondesi stole nine bases while only getting caught once, and that's impressive production. However, since then, he's stolen 10 bases and been caught a whopping five times. That's not acceptable for most major league managers, and it's baffling for a guy who is one of the fastest in the league. Mondesi was caught stealing for the second game in a row on Wednesday, and if he can't figure out his jumps better, that segment of his game may end up being handcuffed by his coaches.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
