1 year agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Adalberto Mejia is expected to be recalled from Triple-A and start against the Chicago Cubs on June 30. The young left-hander has a career 4.57 ERA and a 4-7 record in the majors, but with Fernando Romero being optioned the Twins needed another starter in the rotation. Major league struggles aside, Mejia has put up a pretty 2.74 ERA in Triple-A this season. The Twins undoubtedly hope that the 25-year-old will carry that success into his start on Saturday. With that said, Mejia can be left on the waiver for the time being until he shows that he is a reliable, consistent starter.--Mo Castillo - RotoBaller
