Aaron Nola Not Progressing Well
Aaron Nola (ankle) has not progressed as quickly as the team has hoped. Nola has been sidelined with a right ankle sprain and was placed on the injured list on May 15. Nola was initially expected to throw a bullpen this weekend in Sacramento, but it appears he has not progressed enough to take the next step in his recovery. Fantasy managers should continue monitoring his status, but Nola may not return to action as quickly as the team had hoped. Before his injury, Nola struggled as he posted a high 6.16 ERA with a 1.51 WHIP across 49 2/3 innings of work. During this stint, Nola struck out 52 batters but generated a high 4.94 xERA and a .284 xBA. While Nola remains out, fantasy managers should expect Taijuan Walker to remain in the starting rotation.
