Aaron Dell Plays Well in Loss
5 years agoSan Jose Sharks goaltender Aaron Dell stopped 35 of the 38 shots that he faced from the Kings on Friday in a 3-2 overtime loss. His .921 save percentage in this game gave him back-to-back games with a save percentage over .900 percent for only the second time this season and rose his season average to .900 percent. As bad as the crease has been for the Sharks, who have allowed the third-most goals per game this year, Dell is getting his chance to grab the reigns as he has started four of the last five games. This is tough news for anyone with Martin Jones on their fantasy roster, as his regular playing time was the only thing keeping his fantasy value afloat. A save percentage of only .888 percent on the year for Jones only helps the case for Dell. If you are desperate for goalie help, Dell can likely outperform the cost to acquire him, but keep in mind that San Jose still finds itself in the Western Conference cellar and wins will not be as abundant as they were the last few seasons.
