5 years agoThe Cincinnati Bengals placed the franchise tag on wide receiver A.J. Green on Monday, according to a source. Green is scheduled to make around $18 million in 2020 under the franchise tag. The star wideout sat out all of last season due to injury and may not make an appearance with the team until sometime this summer. He's expected to have LSU quarterback Joe Burrow throwing him passes in 2020. Green, 32 this summer, has six 1,000-yard seasons to his name, but he's also played in just nine games the last two seasons and has become an injury risk for fantasy owners. He won't be drafted as a WR1 anymore, but he has bounce-back potential and will come much cheaper this fall.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
