Week 20 Waiver Wire Pickups: Outfield

It's Week 20 and that means it's time for another deep dive into the outfield waiver wire. Let's face it -- those of us in particularly competitive and savvy leagues do not have the luxury of shopping for "hidden gems" at 45% ownership.

That's why we're here to show you some real diamonds in the rough that will, almost undoubtedly, be available in your league. Well, except for the top guy on our list. Hot shot prospects can jump from zero ownership to completely unavailable in a matter of days. Just another reason why it's crucial to keep an eye on these things every single day.

Week 20 Outfield Targets

Aaron Judge, New York Yankees

Owned in 44% of Fleaflicker Leagues

Just a week ago, Aaron Judge would have been the least-owned player on this list. That's right, the Yankees rookie slugger has shot up more than 40% in ownership over the past week due in large part to his minor league numbers and first few games at the big league level. Judge, long the top prospect in the Yankees system, has gone 5-for-10 with two home runs, three runs scored and three RBI in his first three games in the MLB.

In fact, his first big league at bat resulted in a center field home run. This level of play was a long time coming for Judge, who averaged .278/.373/.473 with 56 HR over three seasons in the minors. The Yankees have thrown in the towel this season, meaning Judge will see plenty of time in the Yankees outfield. If you're in a league where the news comes slowly and Judge is still available, grab him now before everyone catches on.

Keon Broxton, Milwaukee Brewers

Owned in 8% of Fleaflicker Leagues

While Hernan Perez has been garnering all the acclaim in the Brewers outfield beside incumbent slugger Ryan Braun, another young gun has been quietly putting together a solid August for the Brew Crew. Keon Broxton has played in every game but two this month and is averaging an impressive .387/.486/.581 in August with one homer, seven runs scored, five RBI and a whopping six stolen bases.

Broxton is the center fielder of the future for the Brewers and should be a solid fantasy contributor moving forward. In eight minor league seasons (don't worry, he's only 26 years-old) Broxton smacked 83 long balls and tacked on 183 stolen bases. His OPS in 47 MiLB games this year was .924, so there's no reason to expect Broxton will be lackluster for the remainder of his rookie campaign.

Kevin Kiermaier, Tampa Bay Rays

Owned in 6% of Fleaflicker Leagues

What happened to Kevin Kiermaier? After posting solid numbers before hitting the DL in late May, Kiermaier has been insufferable since returning to action after the All-Star Break. In 15 July games, Kiermaier went 6-for-42 with no home runs and just two RBI. He may be a gold glover and one of the best defensive outfielders in the game, but that type of production at the plate is just unacceptable.

Well, he may be getting his groove back in August, as the Fort Wayne native is 14-for-50 in 13 August games with two dingers, three doubles, seven RBI and three steals. As long as he stays healthy, he wil be the every day center fielder in Tampa Bay with a healthy dose of upside.

Ichiro Suzuki, Miami Marlins

Owned in 3% of Fleaflicker Leagues

With Giancarlo Stanton out of the picture, enter a 42 year-old Ichiro Suzuki as the Marlins starting right fielder for the rest of the season. It should come as a shock to nobody that, despite his advanced age, Ichiro is still hitting above .300 and is slashing an impressive .311/.382/.379 with nine stolen bases and 32 runs scored. That's a lot considering Ichiro has been relegated to a bench role for nearly the entire season and has seen just 219 at bats on the year.

Now that the 3,000 hit milestone is in the rearview mirror, who knows if the Wizard will have the motivation to contribute to his squad's playoff push. In all likelihood, hell just keep on doing what he does, slapping bloop singles over the second baseman's head. If you need batting average help for the rest of the season, look no further.

More Options: David Dahl (64%), Joc Pederson (54%), Andrew Benintendi (41%), Denard Span (37%), Rajai Davis (35%), Brandon Moss (34%), Jayson Werth (33%), Travis Jankowski (28%), Jorge Soler (21%), Paulo Orlando (20%), Randal Grichuk (16%), Tyler Austin (12%), Chris Owings (11%)
