ANALYSIS: Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Noelvi Marte rejoined the major league roster on Wednesday, June 26, and is set to make his 2024 debut on Thursday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Marte was hit with an 80-game suspension after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs on March 8.
The number two ranked prospect in the Cincinnati system got a small taste of the major leagues last summer and held a solid .316/.366/.456 slash line with three home runs, 15 RBI, and six stolen bases.

Even though he struggled during his rehab assignment with Triple-A this month, he should be viewed as the primary option at the hot corner in Cincinnati for the remainder of the season. As a result, Jeimer Candelario will now see the majority of his starts at first base.
Marte is a legit five-category contributor and should be rostered in all leagues.
