NASCAR Practice Speeds, Lap Averages, and Notes for Indianapolis - Brickyard 400 (2025)

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon in preparation for the upcoming Indianapolis 400 on Sunday afternoon.

Because of rain on Friday--when practice was originally scheduled for--this week's practice was one 25-minute session with all cars on track.

Below you will find key notes from the practice session as well as the practice speeds for all drivers.

Important Practice Notes

Kyle Larson - At the end of the session, Kyle Larson came on the radio and mentioned that the track was coming apart in turn two. NASCAR checked it over and didn't do anything, so it may not be a big issue, but something to keep an eye on.

Ross Chastain - In an interview after practice, Ross Chastain mentioned that the No. 1 team simply couldn't find any grip with their Chevrolet, and they struggled quite a bit during the session. He was 30th-fastest out of 39 cars.

Jesse Love - Jesse Love will be racing this weekend in the No. 62 Chevrolet for Beard Motorsports. This will be Love's fourth Cup start of the season. He finished 31st at both Bristol and Texas while coming home 29th at Kansas.
