NASCAR Practice Speeds, Lap Averages, and Notes for Gateway - Enjoy Illinois 300 (2025)

Ty Gibbs - NASCAR DFS Picks, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy NASCAR

NASCAR practice speeds, lap averages and notes for the 2025 Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway. Use the NASCAR stats and data to build DFS lineups on DraftKings. Ty Gibbs was fastest.

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at World Wide Technology Raceway (Wateway) on Saturday afternoon/evening in preparation for the upcoming Enjoy Illinois 300 on Sunday afternoon.

The 36-car field was split into two groups for practice, with each group getting 25 minutes on track.

Below you will find the two groups, key notes from the practice session, as well as the practice speeds for all drivers.

Important Practice Notes

Team Penske - It was noted that Team Penske, and Ryan Blaney's team in particular, are a little worried about this new tire that is being used at Gateway this weekend. Although Blaney has been one of the fastest on this track type, his team thinks the tire may hurt them.

Group One - The first Group in practice had a speed advantage over the second group thanks to track conditions. That is why drivers such as Todd Gilliland, Cole Custer, John Hunter Nemechek, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr ended up so high up on the speed chart.
