MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (9/11/25)

Fernando Tatis Jr. - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Zach's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Thursday, 9/11/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome Back, RotoBallers! Thursday brings another great day of Major League Baseball with a trio of afternoon games followed by six games under the lights. DraftKings moved the start time of their contest to 6:40 p.m. ET to include the finale of the series between the Marlins and Nationals, while FanDuel's main slate starts at 7:05 p.m. ET and includes just the five games starting after that. This post includes picks for both sites, but I'll be sure to note options from Miami that will not be options on FanDuel.

The weather for the evening slate looks pretty solid with clear skies and minimal wind factor. Almost all the games are divisional contests, so there is plenty of familiarity between the opponents and some interesting history to consider. It's an interesting mix of starting pitchers on the mound, with a few strong options and a few plays that have been very hittable. The matchups are favorable in different directions, so let's dive in and find some strong plays.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/10/2025, with the slate starting at 6:40 PM EST on DraftKings and 7:05 PM EST on FanDuel. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Cam Schlittler, NYY vs. DET ($8.5K DK/$9.5K FD)

Schlittler was knocked around in his most recent outing against the Blue Jays, but he'll look to get back on track against the Tigers and help the Yankees avoid a home sweep. Detroit has won the first two games of the series, 12-1 and 11-1, so Schlittler will face a tough task in taming the Tigers. The rookie has been impressive overall with a 2-3 record in 10 starts to go with a 3.24 ERA, 3.96 FIP, and 56 strikeouts in 50 innings.

He allowed four runs on five hits and two walks over 1 2/3 innings for negative DraftKings and FanDuel totals in his last start, but prior to that had allowed one run or fewer in four straight starts, posting a 0.76 ERA and 1.75 FIP, with 30 strikeouts in 23 2/3 innings over that span. He had over 23 DraftKings points and 42 FanDuel points in three straight outings before his latest setback, and he brings a very nice ceiling to build around on Thursday's limited slate, especially on DraftKings, where he is surprisingly affordable.

When he's locked in, Schlittler has the stuff to be a true ace. He dominated the Rays in a big game a few starts ago and will look for similar results on Thursday.

Randy Vasquez, SD vs. COL ($6.4K DK/$7K FD)

Picking against the Rockies on the road is a solid strategy, especially when the starting pitcher against them is so affordable that he doesn't have to dominate to be an elite value. The Rockies are hitting just .206 as a team away from Coors Field with a league-high 27.7% K% and a putrid 65 wRC+ as a team. That means they are 35% below league average in terms of run production on the road.

Vasquez faced the Rockies at Coors Field in his last start, and he still put together a solid outing, going six innings and allowing two earned runs on his way to 14.7 DraftKings points and 31 FanDuel points. Getting the Rockies again, but this time at pitcher-friendly Petco Park, makes Vasquez a solid option to consider.

He has allowed two runs or fewer in five of his last six appearances in the majors, although he only has 14 strikeouts in 33 innings over that span. He has eight strikeouts in 12 innings against the Rockies this season and has gone 2-0 in his two starts against them.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Bryce Harper, 1B - PHI ($5.4K DK/$3.7K FD)

At first glance, Harper's lefty-lefty matchup against David Peterson might seem like one to avoid, but Harper has actually had lots of success against Peterson in the past, going 9-for-22 (.409) with a home run in their past meetings. Harper also had a home run on Wednesday in the Phillies' 11-3 win.

Harper and the Phils go for a four-game sweep against their rivals, the Mets, on Thursday, and Harper will look to stay hot. Seven of his 24 homers this season have come in the last 30 days, and he is hitting .275 with a .346 wOBA over that span. He actually has better splits against lefties than righties this season, and is hitting .300 with a .405 wOBA at home, putting him on the strong side of both splits this Thursday.

Yoan Moncada, 3B  - LAA ($3.5K DK/$2.9K FD)

Welcome to September baseball, when prospects get a shot to prove they're ready to contribute, and some former top prospects get a chance to show they deserve another chance. The Angels have had success bringing back some redemption arcs, and Moncada has been a recent example to show some hope of coming around. The 30-year-old switch-hitter is hitting .243 with 12 homers in his first season with the Halos, but has been limited to 73 games due to injury.

He has been heating up lately, though, with hits in six of his last seven games. He has gone an impressive 9-for-20 (.450) in those seven contests with a triple, a home run, seven runs scored, and four RBI. He hit second in the order for the past few gams for the Angels before getting a day off on Wednesday. He should be back in the order on Thursday as the Angels start a series with the Mariners, facing the struggling Bryce Miller.

Edmundo Sosa, 2B/SS on DK, 3B/SS/2B/OF on FD  - PHI ($2.9K DK/$2.5K FD)

Sosa is a solid bargain to round out your infield with and brings a ton of versatility on FanDuel, where he basically can slot anywhere but C/1B and pitcher. He went 1-for-4 with a double on Tuesday against the Mets and has made the most of his platoon chances lately, mostly against lefties like Peterson.

Over his last 11 games, Sosa is 10-for-28 (.357) with two doubles, a home run, and six RBI. He's hitting .314 with a .370 wOBA against southpaws on the season. He's also had success in this specific matchup, going 5-for-7 with a home run against Peterson in their previous head-to-head matchups.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Fernando Tatis Jr., OF - SD ($5.6K DK/$3.6K FD)

Tatis has started to heat up over the last few weeks, helping his Padres keep a firm hold on a Wild Card spot and stay without striking distance of the Dodgers for the division. They start a four-game home set against Colorado on Thursday with a juicy matchup against McCade Brown (more below).

Tatis is up to 21 homers on the year after smashing another dinger on Wednesday, and he has hit safely in six of his last seven games, going 8-for-30 with two homers, two stolen bases, and an average of 12 DraftKings points per game. While he isn't a cheap option, he is in a strong matchup and typically produces his best numbers at home, so he's a good big bat to build around.

Julio Rodriguez, OF - SEA ($5K DK/$3.9K FD)

Another big bat in a spot to smash on Thursday night is Julio Rodriguez, whose Mariners are welcoming in the Angels for four games over the weekend. They start the series just one game back of the Astros in the AL West, and take on the streaky Jose Soriano. Rodriguez is 6-for-12 in his career against Soriano with a pair of home runs.

He comes into the matchup with some good momentum as well after picking up multiple hits in four of his last five games and going 20-for-59 (.339) over his last 15 contests with five homers, 17 RBI, and a pair of stolen bases. Rodriguez and Tatis both bring high ceilings with their dual-threat upside on Thursday.

Daylen Lile, OF - WSH ($3.5K DK)

Lile has been on fire for the Nationals and is quickly establishing himself as a key part of their young, developing core. I covered him as a great bargain bat pickup for season-long leagues earlier this week, and I love him as a value play in DFS as well.

Lile had another triple on Wednesday and is now an amazing 18-for-41 (.439) in his last 10 games. He has five triples and two home runs during that 10-game stretch, along with a .546 wOBA. Facing a lefty in Weathers isn't an ideal matchup for the 22-year-old lefty, but he has been so hot lately that he can still be a great bargain play on DraftKings. Since FanDuel doesn't include this game, check out my other options to consider for value plays on that site.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. San Diego Padres (Implied Run Total - 5.3) vs. Colorado Rockies (McCade Brown)

The Padres are not at Coors Field, but they're still a good stack against the Rockies since Brown has struggled in the majors since making the jump all the way from Double-A. He has gone 0-3 in three starts with a 12.54 ERA and 8.18 FIP. The Padres lit him up for six runs in just 1 2/3 innings in his last start, and they'll look for a similar outcome in Thursday's rematch.

Favorite Combo: Tatis, Arraez, Manny Machado, Ramon Laureano, Jake Cronenworth

2. Philadelphia Phillies (Implied Run Total - 4.7) vs. New York Mets (David Peterson)

Peterson hasn't been a bad starting pitcher for the Mets this season, for sure, but he has struggled in his last few outings, and the Phillies have hit him hard in the past. In his last two starts, Peterson has allowed 12 runs on 15 hits in just 7 1/3 innings. He's made two starts against the Phils, giving up seven runs on 14 hits in a total of 9 1/3 innings. He definitely has the potential to reverse those trends, but the Phillies also could continue their impressive series and wrap up a huge sweep on Thursday night.

Favorite Combo: Bader, Harper, Sosa, Kemp
