Gunnar Henderson - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Prospects, Draft Sleepers

The top MLB DFS daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on August 7, 2024. Mike Barner's MLB DFS sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Rain caused two postponements on Tuesday, leaving us with a couple of doubleheaders on Wednesday. Let’s focus on the seven games that will make up the main evening slates on DraftKings and FanDuel.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/7/2024, with the slate starting at 7:07 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Tarik Skubal at SEA ($10,100 DraftKings; $11,100 FanDuel)

Skubal had a rare rough outing in his last start, giving up five runs over 6.1 innings against the Royals. Prior to that, he allowed two or fewer runs in four straight starts. He is having an excellent campaign with his 2.64 FIP, 0.95 WHIP, and 29.9% strikeout rate. He has the potential to dominate the Mariners, who scored the fourth-fewest runs and struck out the most times in baseball.

George Kirby vs. DET ($8,800 DraftKings; $10,100 FanDuel)

This game being played in Seattle is worth noting. Kirby has a career 2.64 FIP and 1.00 WHIP at home, compared to a 3.45 FIP and a 1.15 WHIP on the road. The Tigers have the fifth-worst OPS in baseball and are currently without their best hitter, Riley Greene (hamstring). Kirby should be a popular option in DFS, and rightfully so.

Erick Fedde vs. TB ($7,700 DraftKings; $8,900 FanDuel)

Fedde did not pitch well in his first start for the Cardinals, giving up five runs over five innings against the Cubs. He was taken deep twice, raising his total to five home runs allowed over his last three starts. That might not be as big of a problem against the Rays, who have hit the fifth-fewest home runs in baseball. They also traded away two of their best sluggers, Randy Arozarena and Isaac Paredes, tilting the scales even further in Fedde’s favor.

Also consider: Freddy Peralta at ATL

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Gunnar Henderson – SS, BAL vs. Bowden Francis ($6,300 DK; $4,400 FD)

With the Blue Jays trading away some of their veterans, Francis will get another opportunity to start. He has been terrible through 44.2 innings this year, recording a 5.64 ERA and a 5.61 FIP. Not only does he have a 1.46 WHIP, but he has given up 10 home runs. This is a great spot to roll with Henderson, who already slugged 29 home runs on his way to posting a .272 ISO.

Jeff McNeil – 2B/OF, NYM vs. Ryan Feltner ($3,700 DK; $3,300 FD)

It has been a disappointing season for McNeil, but he has finally started to catch fire down the stretch. Over his last 18 games, he is 21-for-58 (.362) with five home runs and seven doubles. Feltner has allowed a 1.55 WHIP at home this season, leaving McNeil with the potential to provide value.

Ernie Clement – 2B/3B/SS, TOR vs. Trevor Rogers ($2,600 DK; $2,600 FD)

Rogers did not have a successful debut with the Orioles, giving up five runs over 4.1 innings against the Guardians. He gave up six hits and three walks in the outing. That has been a problem for him all season, given his 1.55 WHIP. This is a favorable matchup to take a chance on Clement, who has a 112 wRC+ against left-handed pitchers this season. Also, he is 16-for-45 (.356) with four doubles over his last 11 games.

Also consider: Francisco Lindor, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Ryan McMahon

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Anthony Santander – OF, BAL vs. Bowden Francis ($5,400 DK; $3,900 FD)

With Francis struggling to keep hitters inside the ballpark, Santander is another member of the Orioles to target. He brings a ton of power to the plate, given his .282 ISO this season. Santander also has a .355 wOBA, which is on pace to be the highest mark of his career in any season in which he has played at least 100 games.

Brenton Doyle – OF, COL vs. Paul Blackburn ($5,000 DK; $3,700 FD)

In a season full of disappointments, Doyle has been a bright spot for the Rockies. He has shown a combination of power and speed, slugging 19 home runs and racking up 21 stolen bases. He also improved his wOBA from .257 last year to .341 this season. One of the main reasons for his success has been increasing his hard-hit rate from 35.0% last season to 42.8% this year. He has been ridiculous at home, posting a .240 ISO and a .412 wOBA at Coors Field.

Colton Cowser – OF, BAL vs. Bowden Francis ($4,300 DK; $3,200 FD)

Cowser has been one of the hottest hitters on the Orioles, going 27-for-74 (.365) with a .429 OBP across his last 20 games. Of his 16 home runs this season, 12 of them have come off right-handed pitchers. He comes with a significantly cheaper salary than both Henderson and Santander, which might make Cowser even more appealing.

Also consider: Shohei Ohtani, Brandon Nimmo, Teoscar Hernandez
