MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (7/19/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Hunter Brown - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top MLB DFS daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on July 19, 2024. Mike Barner's MLB DFS sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Baseball makes its return from the All-Star break with a packed schedule Friday. That leaves us with a bevy of options to sift through on DraftKings and FanDuel. As of early Friday morning, though, not all teams had announced their starting pitchers.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/19/2024, with the slate starting at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential.

Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Hunter Brown at SEA ($8,400 DraftKings; $9,100 FanDuel)

The Mariners are another team with a weak lineup to attack in DFS. Not only have they scored the fourth-fewest runs, but they have struck out the most times in baseball. At home, they have a paltry .644 OPS. When Brown faced them in Seattle in May, he allowed one run and recorded nine strikeouts across six innings.

Michael Wacha vs. CWS ($8,200 DraftKings; $8,900 FanDuel)

Wacha has been a reliable member of the Royals’ starting rotation, recording a 3.83 ERA and a 3.73 FIP. While he doesn’t rack up a ton of strikeouts, opponents have just a 33.8% hard-hit rate against him. He stands out as a great option against the White Sox, who have scored the fewest runs in baseball. Wacha has faced them two times already this season, allowing a total of two runs across 13 innings.

Sean Manaea at MIA ($7,600 DraftKings; $8,800 FanDuel)

Manaea has logged at least six innings in three straight starts, allowing a total of just five runs (four earned) along the way. He took on the Marlins earlier this season, allowing two runs and recording four strikeouts over five innings. The Marlins have scored the second-fewest runs and recorded the second-lowest OPS in baseball, so Manaea has a favorable opportunity to start off his second half on a high note.

Also consider: Gerrit Cole vs. TB, Chris Bassitt vs. DET

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Francisco Lindor – SS, NYM vs. Edward Cabrera ($5,300 DK; $3,700 FD)

Cabrera was destroyed by the Reds in his last start, giving up seven runs over 3.1 innings. He was taken deep four times in the game, and he now has a 1.59 WHIP for the season. Expect him to have his hands full with Lindor, who continues to provide a great combination of power and speed with his 17 home runs and 18 stolen bases.

LaMonte Wade Jr. – 1B/OF, SF vs. Cal Quantrill ($4,500 DK; $2,600 FD)

Runs could be difficult to come by in several games, with teams deploying their best starting pitchers out of the gate. That makes a Coors Field game even more appealing. Not only will the Giants be in the hitter-friendly environment, but they are projected to face the underwhelming Quantrill. He has a 4.76 FIP and just an 18.0% strikeout rate. Left-handed pitchers have limited Wade to a .061 ISO and a .262 wOBA during his career, but he has a .185 ISO and a .351 wOBA versus righties.

Brendan Rodgers – 2B, COL vs. Kyle Harrison ($4,100 DK; $2,700 FD)

Harrison has allowed a 10.3% barrel rate and a 44.5% hard-hit rate this season. Those are concerning numbers for a matchup at Coors Field. He did pitch there earlier this season and actually thrived, logging seven shutout innings. Those results will be difficult to duplicate his second time around, with Rodgers being an intriguing option on the Rockies at a cheaper salary. While he has been limited to a .243 wOBA on the road, he has a .364 wOBA at home this season.

Also consider: Ezequiel Tovar, Michael Toglia, Mark Vientos

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Heliot Ramos – OF, SF vs. Cal Quantrill ($5,200 DK; $3,400 FD)

Ramos had a stellar first half, recording a .226 ISO and a .379 wOBA. While he did have a 27.4% strikeout rate, Quantrill doesn’t miss many bats, so that likely won’t be an issue for Ramos in this matchup. For those willing to pay up for a Giants stack, Ramos should be the centerpiece of it.

Brenton Doyle – OF, COL vs. Kyle Harrison ($4,300 DK; $3,300 FD)

Doyle went into the break on a hot streak, hitting 19-for-45 (.422) with eight home runs over his last 13 games. He only had an 18.9% strikeout rate during that span, compared to a 15.1% walk rate. With his .361 wOBA versus left-handed pitchers, Doyle is one of the top options for a Rockies stack.

Brendan Donovan – OF, STL vs. Spencer Schwellenbach ($3,700 DK; $3,000 FD)

After getting off to a slow start, Donovan has become one of the more productive hitters for the Cardinals. Across his last 26 games, he is 36-for-102 (.353) with a .411 OBP and just a 12.5% strikeout rate. He could be worth the risk at his cheap salary when he faces Schwellenbach, who hasn’t been overpowering with his 21.9% strikeout rate.

Also consider: Jarren Duran, Brandon Nimmo, Alec Burleson
