MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (4/23/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Grayson Rodriguez - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB DFS Picks, Injury News

The top MLB DFS daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on April 23, 2024. Use Euan's MLB DFS sleepers picks for building optimal DFS rosters to win big.

Happy Tuesday, RotoBallers! It's the best time of year as the baseball schedule is in full swing, with 10 games on the Tuesday slate. There are even a handful of earlier games if you want to get into some Showdown or single-game slates.

The featured contests begin with a 7:05 p.m. EDT game between Oakland and New York at Yankee Stadium. Then, we'll watch eight other games start before the night ends in San Francisco as the Giants meet the Mets. There's a big chance that the wind will come into play tonight, so keep an eye on the weather reports in Chicago and San Francisco, where the wind is forecast to blow out.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/23/2024. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Follow me on X @EuanFPL for more DFS advice.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Marcus Stroman vs. Athletics ($9.8K DraftKings; $9.7K FanDuel)

Marcus Stroman provides a stabilizing force in a volatile New York rotation. Through his first four starts in pinstripes, Stroman sports a 2.42 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and a phenomenal 60.7 percent ground-ball rate. The right-handed hurler even has 19 strikeouts through 22 innings, a solid mark for Stroman. His strikeout upside rises against an Oakland outfit with the second-highest strikeout rate (27.8 percent) to RHPs and bottom-three ranks in average, OBP, SLG, and wOBA.

Grayson Rodriguez at Angels ($9.6K DK; $10.8K FD)

After a couple of years of adjustment to the big leagues, Grayson Rodriguez is delivering on his potential as one of the best arms in baseball. His 22.3 DraftKings PPG only trails Logan Gilbert among starters on today's slate, but he has a far better matchup in Los Angeles than Gilbert's game against Texas. The Orioles starter has scored at least 40 FanDuel points in three of four starts and should see that trend continue versus an Angels team with the ninth-highest strikeout rate (23.6 percent) and seventh-lowest wOBA (.298) against RHPs.

Dane Dunning vs. Mariners ($6.6K DK; $9.2K FD)

Despite averaging the seventh-most DK PPG (16.3) among today's 20 starters, Dane Dunning enters the slate as the fourth-cheapest arm to roster. His opponent, Seattle, is having a sleepy start to the 2024 season and owns the highest strikeout rate (28.2 percent) to RHPs in baseball. The 29-year-old hurler has scored at least 15 DK points in three of four starts and has at least seven strikeouts in two of four outings. Dunning's low salary and Seattle's strikeout tendencies make him a great SP2 on DraftKings.

Also consider: Pablo Lopez vs. CWS, Logan Webb vs. NYM, Kevin Gausman at KC

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Travis d'Arnaud - C, ATL vs. Trevor Rogers ($4.2K DK; $3.0K FD)

It's been a productive few days for Travis d'Arnaud. After Sean Murphy (oblique) hit the IL, the backup Braves catcher stepped up and filled in admirably. In the last four games, d'Arnaud has gone 6-for-10 with six runs, five home runs, and 10 RBI to average 31.55 FanDuel PPG. Atlanta is humming with at least five runs scored in eight of the last 10 games, and you want as many of these bats as possible in your DFS lineup.

Nicky Lopez - 2B, CWS at Pablo Lopez ($2.1K DK; $2.0K FD)

DFS managers usually get excited when a leadoff guy comes under $4,000 on DraftKings. So, to get Nicky Lopez at $2,100 is a ridiculous discount. There aren't a lot of runs or RBI to gain from rostering Lopez, but the White Sox infielder has registered a hit in five of his last six games. The 29-year-old is an enticing enabler for our DFS lineups, and his rock-bottom price point gives us the freedom to load up with two stud pitchers or beef up the batting order.

Gunnar Henderson - SS, BAL at Griffin Canning ($5.6K DK; $3.8K FD)

One player you should get in with Nicky Lopez in your lineup is Gunnar Henderson. The Orioles shortstop has moved into the leadoff spot for Baltimore and is crushing it game by game. Over the last 10 games, the sophomore sensation slashes .357/.413/.643 with seven runs, five extra-base hits (three home runs), seven RBI, and a stolen base.

Also consider: Anthony Santander, Ha-Seong Kim, Michael Busch, Abraham Toro, Ezequiel Tovar

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Adolis Garcia - OF, TEX vs. Logan Gilbert ($5.4K DK; $4.1K FD)

Last Thursday, I recommended Adolis Garcia to break out of his power slump, and boy, did he ever. Since that day, the Rangers outfielder is 5-for-12 with two runs, three doubles, two home runs, and five RBI while averaging 14.25 DK PPG. Logan Gilbert is pitching tremendously well to begin the 2024 campaign, but he does give up some hard contact (41.8 percent) and his 10.4 percent barrel rate is in the bottom 21 percent of the league. This matchup should play right into Adolis Garcia's strengths.

Cody Bellinger - OF/1B, CHC vs. J.P. France ($4.9K DK; $2.9K FD)

It's been a slow start for Cody Bellinger in his second season with Chicago, but this man also missed a fair chunk of spring training. Fortunately, the left-handed slugger is showing signs of improvement just in time for a matchup with J.P. France. Over his last five games, Bellinger has four runs, a double, a home run, five RBI, and two multi-hit games. Meanwhile, France has surrendered a 7.08 ERA with a 1.67 WHIP through four starts. Chicago will score plenty of runs tonight, and Bellinger will be at the center of the action.

Daulton Varsho - OF, TOR at Michael Wacha ($3.4K DK; $3.1K FD)

Daulton Varsho's debut season in Toronto was disappointing, but he's having a much better follow-up season. Through 23 games, the Blue Jays outfielder has a .881 OPS with 15 runs, 10 extra-base hits (six home runs), 13 RBI, and two steals. The strikeout-to-walk ratio still needs improvement, but he's batting fifth for a top-heavy Toronto lineup and reaping the rewards.

Also consider: Kyle Tucker, Julio Rodriguez, Starling Marte, Juan Soto, Bryan De La Cruz

2. Atlanta Braves vs. Trevor Rogers
