James Cook fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 8 (2024). Should you start or sit James Cook for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: Facing the Seattle Seahawks, who allow the 10th-most fantasy points per game to running backs, James Cook is in a favorable matchup. He is coming off a two-game scoring streak after finding the end zone against the Tennessee Titans last week.
In Week 7, Cook had 12 carries but managed just 32 yards. His involvement in the passing game has also been limited, which has put him in a position where he is somewhat touchdown-dependent for fantasy relevance. However, his six touchdowns on the year demonstrate his value as a consistent red-zone option.

Though Ray Davis is emerging in the Bills' offense, Cook still maintains a lead role. The rookie filled in nicely while the 25-year-old was sidelined due to a toe injury in Week 6. Davis will continue to see work, but Cook has a more significant role.
The team will likely use Cook to establish the ground game against Seattle, making him a productive RB2 option for Week 8.
