J.K. Dobbins fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 3 (2024). Should you start or sit J.K. Dobbins for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Smash Start (All Leagues)
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB1
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins is off to a ridiculous start to the 2024 season. Somehow looking better than his old self, Dobbins is dominating defenses and putting up historic efficiency numbers along the way.
While the backfield is a committee between Dobbins and Gus Edwards, Dobbins is outplaying Edwards to a ridiculous degree. He's averaging 9.85 yards per carry, which while unsustainable, would break the record for most yards per carry in a season by a significant margin (with reasonable volume).
J.K. Dobbins is the RB to have on the Chargers... Could he be the steal of the season for fantasy football? pic.twitter.com/foi1bmcGp5

Dobbins is on a run-first team with massively improved offensive line play and a solid defense that has helped the offense get more opportunities for drives, which helps Dobbins get more opportunities. He's looked explosive as well. His alarming history of leg injuries seems to be mostly behind him.
The only thing that could hold Dobbins back is health, and given his history of catastrophic leg injuries, it's possible he could suffer more ailments. But when he plays he's a must-start in all leagues. If he keeps up this pace, he'll be a league-winner.
