Saquon Barkley Injury Update for Fantasy Football
As per ESPN's Jordan Raanan, Saquon Barkley has indicated that he will be healthy to play in Week 8 against the New York Jets. The Giants will likely have Daniel Jones back as well for the next week, and the game against the Jets could turn out to be a pretty good one.
Having Barkley allows the Giants' passing game to work better, and it was evident in Darren Waller's performance in the game against the Commanders. It is a great opportunity for Jones to get back into form, as he will have all his weapons to work with.
In football games this season, Barkley has rushed for 284 yards on 74 carries and scored three touchdowns. He is averaging 71 rushing yards per game on just 3.8 yards per carry. The 26-year-old running back has also recorded 16 receptions for 87 receiving yards while scoring two touchdowns on 20 targets.
Saquon Barkley Fantasy Football Outlook
Saquon Barkley has played only one game against the Jets so far in his career. In that game, he rushed for just one yard on 13 carries. He had five receptions for 30 yards as well during the 34-27 win for the Jets in 2019.
The Giants' running game was totally dysfunctional during that game, but Daniel Jones had one of the best games of his career. The Jets have a pretty good defense, and the only way the Giants can win this game is if Barkley has a monster game.
