Josh Downs was hurt at OTAs but will he be recovered and ready to contribute for the Colts by the 2023 regular season?
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs is expected to be a crucial part of the team's offense in his rookie season. The Colts drafted him with the 79th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, as the franchise wanted him to become a reliable option for Anthony Richardson.
Downs ran a 4.48 40-yard dash in the NFL Combine, and he is a speed threat. Alongside Michael Pittman Jr., the rookie receiver could go on to have a great debut season.
The Colts could have a prolific offense in the next season, as Jonathan Taylor, paired with the likes of Downs, Pittman Jr., and Richardson as the quarterback, could torch the league. However, the former North Carolina receiver has some injury concerns that could hamper his chances of contributing right away.

Is Josh Downs Injured Or Healthy?
Josh Downs reportedly suffered a knee injury during the first week of OTAs. He will be unable to compete this week, although the severity of his injuries remains uncertain.
New Colts head coach Shane Steichen clarified that the injury isn't serious, which is wonderful news for fantasy managers who are keeping an eye on him for next season. Downs could be a sleeper in the fantasy draft since a player drafted in the third round may go overlooked despite his talent.
How Did Josh Downs Perform In College?
In college, Josh Downs missed two games due to a knee strain, but he was able to impress many with his game. In three years with North Carolina, the 21-year-old wide receiver played in 28 games, in which he had 202 receptions for 2483 yards and recorded 22 touchdowns.
Many are excited to see how the pairing of Richardson and Downs will perform in the NFL, as they both have exceptional talents. Both of these players have the potential to rack up a lot of fantasy points if they get going.
