Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire hasn't played since Week 11 of the regular season, but there's a chance he could be back for the AFC Championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals. While his injury status might not seem like a big deal, his return to the lineup could affect DFS lineups.
Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon have both had good-to-great fantasy performances this year, so a third back in the mix could be problematic for their fantasy upside and complicate DFS selections.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said "there's a chance" running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle) could come off Injured Reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals. The 23-year-old has been sidelined since Week 11 due to a high-ankle sprain.
He rushed for 302 yards and three touchdowns while catching 17 passes for 151 yards and three scores across 10 games in 2022.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire AFC Championship Fantasy Outlook
Even if CEH is activated from IR and is active this weekend, fantasy managers shouldn't expect much from the third-year back out of LSU. McKinnon and Pacheco have been a great tandem in Edwards-Helaire's absence and are clearly healthier and have more juice at this point in the season.
There's an off-chance Edwards-Helaire could at least see a couple of red zone touches, but it'd be surprising if he had a significant number of touches in his first game back in a few months. However, for DFSers who like to create a ton of lineups with unique combinations of players, he could be a cheap bargain-bin option in hopes he scores a touchdown or two.
Ultimately, this Chiefs-Bengals matchup should see plenty of points, so getting exposure to Chiefs' offensive players is never a bad idea. In DFS formats, taking risks is how you can achieve variance in your lineup and compete for a top prize. Don't overexpose yourself to CEH in DFS, but we've seen Andy Reid randomly feed players we wouldn't expect.
