Players in Most Winning Lineups on Bettle

When looking at the past eight weeks of the NFL season, we can see who has been in winning lineups. These are key players to target as you move on in the season. We will go by each position and identify the key players.

Jalen Hurts leads the quarterback position as he has been in one of the winning lineups each week of the season. He is tailed by Tua Tagovailoa who has now been in a winning lineup for seven weeks. Not to be forgotten and has been getting it done quietly is Lamar Jackson who has now been in a winning lineup six of the eight weeks. All three bring upside as they can be mobile when the pocket collapses on them.

Moving on to the running back position, it is no surprise that Christian McCaffrey leads the way with six weeks. Not hard to guess when he has scored in 17 straight games, looking to break the record once he returns from the bye week in Week 10. Travis Etienne and Tony Pollard are tied with four games each as they continue to make appearances. Surprisingly, Miles Sanders has made an appearance three times so far this season, tied with rookie Bijan Robinson.

For wide receivers, we have a lot of names that have been in the top five lineups. Rookie Chris Olave leads the way with six appearances. Justin Jefferson managed to be in the top five for five weeks before being placed on injured reserve. Buffalo Bills receiver, Stefon Diggs also made five appearances. Ja'Marr Chase, who is always open, tied Davante Adams for three weeks.

The tight ends group has been led by Mark Andrews with seven weeks now in the top five. Mr. Swiftie, Travis Kelce, is close behind him with six weeks while George Kittle sits at five. Out of all of the positions, the tight ends group has a pretty close race each week as Even Engram has four weeks in the top five while Darren Waller, Pat Freiermuth, Dallas Goedert, and Sam LaPorta sit at three weeks each.

Week 9 Lineups Strategy

When heading into your matchups in Week 9, targeting high-volume players is the route to take. Obviously, some moves would have to be made to make it all happen. Some are pricier than others. Players like Christian McCaffrey, Travis Etienne, and even Breece Hall (who has only one appearance in the top five this season) are guys to aim for.

For wide receivers, the ones with high target shares on their teams, we should target. Or even the wide receivers who have a huge hold on the target share and not another one on his team comes close to him. The tight end position allows more flexibility. With so many players at the position holding in stock in the top five, you can go multiple different routes.

When it comes to choosing your opponent on Bettle, Week 9 may be one of the hardest to go choose who you face. Over 1/3 of the NFL teams are starting backup quarterbacks. Fresh off of the trade deadline, some usage may change for skill players as new teammates get settled in. You'll want to closely look at your opponent's lineup and if you do have a solid point spread over them, might as well roll with the match-up.

Players To Trust for Week 9

Breece Hall

Breece Hall has taken over the New York Jets backfield and it's not even close for another player to steal from his usage. In the past three games for Hall, he has held a rush attempt share of 60% or higher. In Week 5, he was at 76% while in Weeks 6 and 8, he was at 63%. Robert Saleh and the Jets completely trust Hall to control the ground game and will not be holding him back anytime soon.

Chris Olave

Chris Olave leads the way for wide receivers when it comes to being in the top five lineups and for good reason. He holds the highest target share for the New Orleans Saints with 25% on the season. While that isn't as high as others like A.J. Brown or CeeDee Lamb, Olave is relied on heavily. He is coming off of his highest target share of the season in Week 8 with 36%. What may make fantasy owners frustrated is his catchable targets which is at 66% for the season. If Derek Carr can place the football better for Chris Olave, he will turn into a dominant player.

Mark Andrews

Mark Andrews leads the tight ends group with appearances in the top five lineups for seven of the eight weeks this season. Andrews is currently holding an 80% catchable target rate with a 21% target share. While it's not the highest that we would love to see (similar to Chris Olave), Andrews is relied heavily on in this Baltimore Ravens offense. The Seattle Seahawks are ranked 10th when it comes to defending opposing tight ends, but this is a high-powered Ravens offense that can do damage.
