Week 14 Half-PPR Tight End Rankings for Fantasy Football: Pat Freiermuth, Isaiah Likely, Taysom Hill, Cole Kmet, more

Taysom Hill - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Week 14 fantasy football tight end rankings for half-PPR scoring. Set winning lineups with our Week 14 ranks for fantasy football and the 2023 NFL season.

RotoBallers! Week 14 has arrived. With only one week left until the fantasy playoffs, it's win or go home for some fantasy managers. Tight end has been a very volatile position this season, and for managers playing the streaming game, RotoBaller has you covered with our Week 14 half-PPR tight end rankings for fantasy football.

Fantasy managers won't have rising fantasy star Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride this week as the Cardinals and the Commanders are on a bye. It's time to win that all-important league matchup and enter the fantasy playoffs. Here's where vital tight ends such as Pat Freiermuth, Isaiah Likely, Taysom Hill, Gerald Everett, Dalton Schultz, Cole Kmet, and Tucker Kraft rank this week.

Our fantasy football rankings for Week 13 are put together by Nick Mariano. In addition to our staff rankings, below you will also find a summary of this week's important fantasy football injury news. There are always critical injuries to track, so check back until kickoff.

Week 14 Tight End Rankings Analysis

A new feature has been added to our weekly fantasy football rankings article. Below, you will find our fantasy football outlooks or injury notes for key options in Week 14, which gives readers a matchup preview of that player and advice on whether to start or avoid for the upcoming week. We provide outlooks for all 32 NFL teams, which can be found on our player profile pages and our fantasy football news desk.

Sam LaPorta, TE, Detroit Lions
Week 14 Overall Half-PPR Rankings: 55
Week 14 Tight End PPR Rankings: 3

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta has wasted no time establishing himself as a stellar fantasy tight end, posting eight TE1 finishes in half-PPR leagues through his first 12 career games. Last week, the rookie caught all nine of his targets for 140 yards and a touchdown, which is an unprecedented stat line for a first-year tight end.

He was already a must-start option, but his Week 13 performance cemented his status as a top-three rest-of-season tight end. He should continue to find success in Week 14 against the Chicago Bears, who have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to the position.

Pat Freiermuth, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
Week 14 Overall Half-PPR Rankings: 107
Week 14 Tight End PPR Rankings: 15

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth will take the field for his eighth appearance of the campaign against the New England Patriots in Week 14. Although Freiermuth displayed his potential to be a solid fantasy asset as recently as Week 12, he'll be difficult to trust on Thursday night, with the Patriots surrendering the third-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends this season.

Furthermore, the Steelers will be forced to start Mitch Trubisky at quarterback with starter Kenny Pickett (ankle) injured. Freiermuth's output was inconsistent with Trubisky under center in 2022. He is likely still a better starting option than any tight end available on waiver wires, but fantasy managers should temper their expectations for the 25-year-old in this matchup.

Hunter Henry, TE, New England Patriots
Week 14 Overall Half-PPR Rankings: 141
Week 14 Tight End PPR Rankings: 25

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry could have a larger role in Week 14 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers after teammates Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle), Demario Douglas (concussion), and Kayshon Boutte (shoulder) were ruled out. Nevertheless, his low production over the last few weeks and the Patriots' overall offensive struggles make it tough to trust Henry on Thursday night.

New England has not had much luck passing the football in recent weeks, including last Sunday when Bailey Zappe totaled just 141 yards while taking five sacks and leading zero scoring drives. Assuming the Patriots' passing attack continues to falter, New England will go run-heavy, rendering Henry irrelevant in fantasy football regardless of the pass-catching depth (or lack thereof) around him. He should be viewed as a low-end TE2 who belongs on waivers in most fantasy leagues.
