Fantasy Football Injury Reports For NFL RBs: Week 14 Updates for Josh Jacobs, Kenneth Walker III, Joe Mixon, Michael Carter, DeeJay Dallas

Kenneth Walker III - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Fantasy football RB injury updates and injury reports for running backs ahead of Week 14 (2022), as of 12/7, including Josh Jacobs, Kenneth Walker III, Joe Mixon, Michael Carter, and DeeJay Dallas.

Below you will find our fantasy football injuries roundup for running backs as of December 7th, coming out of the 13th week of NFL action.

There have been new developments surrounding the injury statuses of various NFL running backs, including Josh Jacobs, Kenneth Walker III, Joe Mixon, Michael Carter, and DeeJay Dallas.

The fantasy football season may be young, but every decision, transaction, and lineup change matters. These are some key running back injuries that managers will want to check on throughout the days leading up to Week 14. Let's look at the updates for some running backs and see whether they may play in Week 14.

Josh Jacobs Injury Update

Jacobs (quad, calf) was estimated to be a limited participant following the Raiders' walkthroughs on Monday and Tuesday. While he's trending in the direction, fantasy managers should monitor his status on a short week. Vegas takes on the Rams this Thursday.

Kenneth Walker III Injury Update

Walker (foot) suffered a strain on Sunday and was unable to return versus the Rams. He'll try to manage the injury going forward, but the expectation is that he won't be able to play in Week 14. If Walker is indeed ruled out, the Seahawks would turn to DeeJay Dallas (ankle) and Travis Homer (knee) on Sunday.

Joe Mixon Injury Update

Mixon (concussion protocol) has missed the Bengals' last two games, but head coach Zac Taylor believes he could be cleared early this week. It seems more likely than not that Mixon will suit up in Week 13, but with Samaje Perine thriving in the Cincinnati offense, the Bengals might spread the ball around the backfield more than we are used to. Mixon ranks as an RB2 while Perine has RB3 appeal.

Michael Carter Injury Update

Carter (ankle) is making progress ahead of Week 14, but the Jets are expected to lean on Zonovan Knight even after Carter returns. Knight, a rookie, has produced 221 scrimmage yards over two games and ranks as a low-end RB2 in fantasy football going forward. In all likelihood, Carter will mix in as his backup while Ty Johnson takes the field on some passing downs. Nevertheless, this is an interesting storyline to follow heading into Sunday's game versus the Bills.

Ameer Abdullah Injury Update

Abdullah (hamstring) was limited in the Raiders' walkthroughs on Monday and Tuesday. After catching 10 passes for 77 yards and one touchdown from Weeks 10 to 12, Abdullah was held without a reception this past Sunday. His role behind Josh Jacobs pushes him outside the realm of fantasy relevance in most leagues.

DeeJay Dallas Injury Update

Dallas (ankle) exited Sunday's game and was listed as doubtful to return, but he managed to get back on the field as the Seahawks' backfield suffered additional injuries. This unit is banged up across the board, so if Dallas is healthy in Week 14, he'll likely handle a significant role. Assuming Walker is indeed ruled out, we can consider Dallas an RB3 with the potential to rank even higher if Homer (knee) remains sidelined.

Travis Homer Injury Update

Speak of the devil. Homer (knee) missed Week 13 and therefore was unable to participate in the injury roulette that visited the Seahawks' backfield. It's too early to have any clarity on his Week 14 status, but the 24-year-old has looked solid in the passing game and could offer deep-league Flex appeal if he recovers in time to play this coming Sunday.

Brandon Bolden Injury Update

Much like his fellow backfield-mates, Bolden (calf) was limited in the Raiders' last two walkthroughs. Assuming Jacobs (quad, calf) and Abdullah (hamstring) can suit up Thursday, Bolden, who has just 91 scrimmage yards in 2022, should be left on waivers.
