Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers - Top Waiver Wire Pickups and Starts for Week 27 (Sept. 23 - Sept. 29)

Pavin Smith - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Fantasy baseball hitter streamers and starts for Week 27 of the 2024 season. Thunder Dan Palyo analyzes the top batter streamers to pick up in Week 27.

We did it - we made it to the final week of the MLB regular season. If your team is still in the mix for a fantasy championship, then I bid you good luck and I'll do my best to point out some of the best bats you can add for the final week to bring your team across that finish line in the money!

Our hitter streamers fantasy baseball waiver-wire pickups column will identify hitters with good matchups who can be considered waiver-wire streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver-wire runs for leagues with weekly transactions.

In this piece, every week, I'll look to find hitters playing in the most games and who have the most favorable matchups to help you plug those gaps and fill those holes in your roster. You can also check out the rest of our fantasy baseball streamer content here at RotoBaller.

What Teams Offer The Most Streaming Value?

Most teams are playing six games this week.

However, four teams play just five games - ATL, CIN, CLE, NYM

Week 27 Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers

I'll recommend only players who are 40% rostered or lower, and all roster percentages are from Yahoo!

Andrew Vaughn, 1B/OF - CHW (28%)

Vaughn keeps plugging right along with some steady production despite the horrible results from the rest of his team on a nightly basis. He finally had a seven-game hitting streak snapped yesterday, but he has a nice matchup to start the week against the Angels at home.

Jasson Dominguez, OF - NYY (28%)

A lot of managers have cut Dominguez loose, but I think he makes for a much more compelling add than a drop based on the fact that even while he's struggling a little bit at the plate, he's also been very active on the basepaths - swiping four bases already since coming up. He's a good hitter and the hits are coming - perhaps this week!

Jordan Walker, OF - STL (25%)

Walker clubbed another home run yesterday, giving him two this week and five on the season.

Who cares if he was terrible earlier in the year, all we care about is that he is a young hitter with upside, and the Cardinals head to Coors for the first half of this coming week!

Otto Lopez, 2B/SS - MIA (25%)

Lopez has been coming on strong for the Fish in the second half and had another nice week for managers once again. He's now hitting .306 over the last two weeks with two home runs, eight RBI, eight runs scored, and three steals. He's doing a little of everything right now and you could do much worse than Lopez at a middle infield position.

Pavin Smith, 1B/OF - ARI (23%)

Smith grabbed our attention with a three-homer game against Houston back on 9/8 but has been steadily producing a solid average, runs scored, and RBI since then despite hitting only one home run.

He's worked his way into the 5-hole in this Arizona lineup where he's set up to be an excellent run producer down the stretch.

Jose Tena, 3B/SS - WAS (17%)

Tena is making the most of his late-season audition with the Nats. He's hitting .300 over the last two weeks but has been very active on the basepaths with four steals. He's been in the lineup every day for nearly a month, you know you're getting plenty of at-bats with him this week.

Nolan Schanuel, 1B - LAA (14%)

The Angels lefty has been on and off waivers a lot this season as he just doesn't have enough power to justify using as your primary first basemen. He reminds me a lot of Spencer Horwitz in that he's a very good hitter who is probably a better real-life baseball player than a fantasy player.

Well anyway, for now, he's moved down to the three-spot in the lineup and has been cranking out hits (12-game hitting streak). If you need someone to help boost your batting average, Schanuel is a great contact hitter who should also chip in with some runs scored and RBI.

Jose Iglesias, 2B/3B - NYM (12%)

With Francisco Liriano banged up, it's been Iglesias atop the Mets lineup for the last week and he's been darn good - scoring at least once in five straight games and picking up multiple hits in six of his last seven. He's setting the table for the big bats quite nicely and is now hitting .335 on the season. If you need runs scored and a boost to your batting average, he could be a big help this week.

Fantasy Baseball Deep League Hitter Streamers to Consider

Some widely available hitters (under 10% rostered) could be worth a look this week.

Noelvi Marte, 3B - CIN (10%)

Miguel Rojas, 2B/3B/SS - LAD (7%)

Nick Gonzales, 2B/SS - PIT (7%)

Kyle Manzardo, 1B - CLE (5%)

Andy Pages, OF - LAD (5%)

Mike Yastrzemski, OF - SFG (3%)

Good luck this week, and choose those streaming options wisely!
