FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (4/13/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Mike Marteny highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 4/13/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Tonight's six-game NBA slate is the smallest in a while now. We still have some good ones on here with only the Lakers, Jazz, and Suns on the tail end of a back-to-back set. The Jazz had a lot of players out last night and could again, so we can look there for value. The Lakers are expected to have Kuzma and Wes Matthews back in the fold, but will still be without LeBron and Anthony Davis.

The Heat-Suns tilt only has a 215 total. The Celtics-Blazers is up at 227. I would expect the Hawks and Raptors to be over that. The other three games should be somewhere in the middle. The two later games should have the lowest and highest totals on the slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/13/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward, and center on FanDuel, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. You can also check out DraftKings lineup picks and injury news before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Donovan Mitchell, SG – vs. Oklahoma City($9,200)

It's likely that Mike Conley will be in the lineup tonight, but Mitchell produces whether Conley is active or not. Jordan Clarkson will likely remain out, so that may leave a few more opportunities lying around for Mitchell. Not that it really matters. He is by far the leading scorer and shot taker on the team. Mitchell's productivity isn't only attached to his scoring. He's capable of running this offense and is a good rebounder as well. This is a great spot for Mitchell unless the Jazz try to limit his workload against a depleted  team with Conley back in action.

Kyle Lowry, PG – vs. Atlanta ($7,200)

Lowry played 37 minutes in his return to the lineup on Sunday after a fortnight layoff. It didn't look like he missed a beat. Lowry racked up 40.4 FanDuel points against one of the better defensive teams in the league. Now he gets to face one of the worst with Fred VanVleet still out. The status of Trae Young doesn't matter to me. The Hawks may be slightly better on defense with Young out. Regardless, this is a great matchup for Lowry and the Raptors don't appear to be worried about his workload. Lowry might be my favorite guard on the slate. The price and matchup have a lot to do with it.

Joe Ingles, SG – vs. Oklahoma City ($5,800)

Ingles gets a boost with Clarkson out because he turns into the volume scorer on the second unit. Ingles has cleared 30 FanDuel points in each of the last three games with Clarkson out. He should have no trouble making it four against the injury-riddled (and tanking) Thunder.

Also consider: Paul George ($9,000), Kemba Walker ($6,600), Gary Trent Jr. ($6,200), Ty Jerome ($4,300)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Jayson Tatum, PF – at Portland ($9,200)

This is about as good as a matchup can get for a power forward. Tatum is a walking double-double right now, recording one in each of his last three games. Two of those were against the Nuggets and Knicks, two good defensive teams. In the other he put up 69 FanDuel points on the hapless Timberwolves. This game total should fall somewhere in the middle for Tatum. His ceiling is lower with the Celtics getting back to full strength, but it's still high enough take a run with Tatum against Portland.

Bogdan Bogdanovic, SF – at Tampa-ronto ($7,300)

It's getting more difficult to pay this price for Bogdanovic, especially when you factor in the return of Deandre Hunter. However, if Trae Young is out again, someone has to pick up the scoring. Bogdanovic put up 46.1 FanDuel points in 40 minutes against the Hornets with Young out on Sunday. If Young returns, I'll pass on Bogdan. If Young is out, there is a lot of potential here, especially against a Toronto team that has had issues defensively.

Marcus Morris, PF – at Indiana ($5,400)

With Kawhi Leonard already ruled out and Serge Ibaka still on the shelf, Morris should earn another start here. The results have been mixed with Morris, and unfortunately, his price tag went up after a big game against Detroit on Sunday. However, he might still be worth it. No Kawhi means a lot more offensive opportunities for guys like Paul George and Morris. Morris scored 33 real points on Sunday. I wouldn't expect that high of a total tonight, but he has a good shot at landing in the 20's.

Also consider: Jimmy Butler ($9,400), Miles Bridges ($6,200), Jalen McDaniels ($6,000), Jae Crowder ($5,100)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Bam Adebayo – at Phoenix ($8,300)

The Suns are a strong defensive team everywhere except for inside. Deandre Ayton is kind of a black hole on defense. He can be had, especially by a well-rounded player like Adebayo. Bam has a nice floor at this price, and I really like the upside against the Suns. This game should stay close and there should be plenty of rebounds for Bam to haul down here. He's worth the $1,000 savings off of Capela.

Jusuf Nurkic – vs. Boston ($5,600)

Both Nurkic and Enes Kanter split the minutes almost down the middle. That limits the upside of both of them, but Nurkic is a more well-rounded player. Therefore, he has higher upside. This is a fantasy nightmare, but this matchup with Boston is too good to ignore. So which one should we use? I still think it has to be Nurkic. Neither are bad options, but on a site where we only get one center, it's probably better to go with a sure thing like Bam.

Also consider: Clint Capela ($9,300), Chris Boucher ($7,800), Goga Bitadze ($5,300)
