FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (10/29/18): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Karl Rasmussen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 10/29/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Monday features a nine-game NBA slate, including some possible high-scoring affairs like Pelicans/Nuggets, plus a marquee matchup with the Raptors and Bucks.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 10/29/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel.

You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks and our Premium DFS Cheat Sheet. And don't forget to check out our brand new NBA DFS Matchup Ratings tool with daily player projections. Make sure you don't set your lineups too early and also be sure to check player statuses and availability prior to opening tip.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Goran Dragic - PG vs. SAC ($6,700)

Dragic has a great matchup for Monday's slate, as the Heat are hosting the Kings. Sacramento is currently 28th in the league in terms of fantasy points allowed to point guards, something which Dragic can take advantage of. The Slovenian has put up more than 30 fantasy points in all but one of his games this season. Dragic is averaging 19.0 points per game this season on an efficient 38.7 percent clip from three-point range. He's also dished out 5.4 assists per game this year and puts up solid rebounding numbers at his position with 4.4 RPG. He looks to be a great value pick for a high-upside point guard option under the $7,000 mark.

Monte Morris - SG vs. NO ($4,800)

Morris could be a solid value pickup for Monday's outing against the Pelicans. The Pelicans have allowed the tenth-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards this season, and the most fantasy points to point guards. Morris plays a bit of both so he has the chance to string together a solid performance as he looks to make the most of his increased minutes. The second-year guard has played more than 20 minutes in each of his last three outings and has seen his fantasy production rise as well. Over his past three games, Morris is averaging 13.3 points, 6.0 assists, and 4.0 rebounds while seeing 25.3 minutes of floor time. For his price, Morris offers a lot of upside as he looks to continue his streak of solid performances.

Jimmy Butler - SG vs. LAL ($9,400)

Butler won't be a cheap pickup, but he is still someone who should be peaking your interest for Monday. He has a very friendly matchup against the Lakers who rank as the worst team in the league against shooting guards in terms of fantasy points allowed per game. Butler is averaging 20.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 3.4 steals per game this year and has been outstanding in all but one of his outings this season. Butler has recorded 4+ steals on three separate occasions this year as he continues to be a nuisance for opposing ball handlers. The T-Wolves shooting guard is shooting at a 47.9 percent clip on 14.2 field goal attempts per game this season. His high volume of scoring opportunities will always be there, and he may even see a boost considering Andrew Wiggins is dealing with an injury, though he may still suit up for the Monday's game. Butler is expensive but the matchup is extremely friendly and he may be worth the high price.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Harrison Barnes - SF @SA ($5,300)

Barnes is back in action for Dallas and will be walking into a favorable matchup in his second game of the year. The Spurs are the worst defense in the league against small forwards, by FanDuel fantasy measures. While Barnes is still getting back into game shape, his season debut was a solid one as he provided 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. The Mavericks won't be hesitant to get him on the court as he logged 28 minutes in his debut. He struggled from the field, knocking down just 5-of-17 field goal attempts but Barnes is typically a much better shooter than that. It's encouraging that Barnes still managed to hoist up 17 shots even with his new teammates in Dallas, so expect a better performance from the 26-year-old on Monday night. For $5,300, Barnes could be a steal if he knocks down more than 40 percent of his field goal attempts.

Kyle Kuzma - PF @MIN ($5,900)

Kyle Kuzma is building upon his solid rookie season. The sophomore is averaging 19.5 points per game on 47.0% shooting from the field. His three-point percentage is down at 28.9 percent but he's still making 1.8 three's per game. The Timberwolves defense has allowed the third most fantasy points to power forwards this season which could allow Kuzma to feast on Monday night. Minnesota has allowed over two three-pointers to opposing power forwards this season, so Kuzma should feel confident enough to fire off his shot when the opportunity is there. He has yet to score less than 11 points in a game this year, and while his supporting stats aren't always there, Kuzma's offensive prowess could land him some big numbers against the T-Wolves.

Nikola Mirotic - SF @DEN ($7,300)

Mirotic has been sensational to kick off the 2018-19 campaign and it isn't likely that he slows down against the Nuggets on Monday night. Denver has allowed the third most fantasy points to opposing small forwards this year. Mirotic has kicked off the year averaging 23.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game, while knocking down 3.0 three's per game. Anthony Davis is considered a game-time decision and should he be unable to suit up against the Nuggets, Mirotic will find himself with the keys to the Pelicans' offense. Mirotic already has two 45+ fantasy point nights under his belt and has yet to score under 25 fantasy points in a single contest. He's shooting 53.6 percent from the field, including 45.5 percent from three, and while it's hard to imagine him sustaining those percentages all year, he is still going to get a lot of looks at the basket as he is averaging a career-high 16.8 field goal attempts per game.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Enes Kanter - C vs. BKN ($7,700)

Kanter is a rebounding machine, and that's something that the Nets have struggled to prevent against opposing centers. They are the worst team in the league in terms of opposing rebounds by centers, having allowed 19.91 rebounds per game to the position. The Nets have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to centers as well. Kanter is averaging 15.3 points and 11.2 rebounds this season, and while he isn't a great defender, the Knicks' injuries will allow him to see ample opportunity on the offensive end. This season, Kanter is averaging 11.7 field goal attempts per game, converting 55.2 percent of his shots. He's also knocking down 92.9 percent of his free throw attempts, albeit on 2.3 attempts per game. Kanter has a chance for a big game on Monday against the Nets, and while he is a bit of an expensive option, he could pay dividends to those who include him in their lineup.

Dewayne Dedmon - C @PHI ($4,500)

The 76ers are one of the better teams in the league at defending against centers, but they have allowed the third most three-pointers to opposing centers this year. Dedmon is one of the better three-point shooting big men in the league, averaging 1.0 three's per game. He's only played in two games this season, putting up averages of 8.0 points per game alongside 9.0 rebounds. He's easily capable of recording a double-double, even against the formidable 76ers frontcourt. If Dedmon can find his shooting stroke on Monday night he could provide excellent fantasy value, especially at his cheap price.
