FanDuel DFS Pitcher

Gerrit Cole - SP, at BAL ($12,800)

The Astros and Orioles were rained out on Thursday so we have the luxury of having Gerrit Cole's ace arm added to this slate. I love him for all the same reasons I did yesterday - the price is a little steep, but the way he's been pitching and the cupcake matchup certainly warrant the high salary. This Orioles team is punch-less and strike out happy, which helps to elevate Cole's floor and ceiling projections. Their projected lineup has a massive 27% K rate against right-handed pitching this season, paired with a .288 wOBA. It isn't too surprising to see Baltimore has the second lowest implied run total at 3.2 runs. He makes for a strong play in cash game formats and in tournaments.

Also Consider: Patrick Corbin - SP, at SDP ($10,800); Tyler Glasnow - SP, vs TOR ($8,700)

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Matt Olson - 1B, at LAA ($3,800)

Olson and the Athletics have one of the highest run projections for the day at 4.9, with that and Khris Davis hitting behind him, he has great lineup context and a good matchup on top of that. He'll have the platoon advantage as well, bringing strong splits (.355 wOBA, .254 ISO) to the dish.

Travis Shaw - 2B, vs DET ($4,100)

Shaw provides nice exposure to the top projected offense of the night as the Brewers (5.3 run projection) are taking on the very-hittable Jordan Zimmermann. Shaw has an excellent recent batted ball profile, with a hard hit rate over 50% in the past two weeks. He also has very strong splits against righties, highlighted by his .381 wOBA and .281 ISO.

Anthony Rendon - 3B, at COL ($4,800)

Rendon has been fantastic this year and it seems as if his accolades have flown under the radar in 2018. He gets a massive park upgrade going to Coors Field tonight and also holds the platoon advantage over Rockies starter Kyle Freeland. Rendon has beaten value in eight of his last 10 games and brings a .268 ISO to the dish.

Nick Ahmed - SS, at SDP ($2,700)

Ahmed is in a nice spot to provide us value at a low price, without the sacrifice of much upside. He is is southpaw specialist, and has a very enticing .225 ISO split in 2018. On top of that, his recent batted ball profile is promising as well, highlighted by a 42% hard hit rate.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Daniel Palka - OF, at MIN ($2,700)

Speaking of value plays that don't sacrifice upside, Palka is in a real nice spot tonight to exceed his price implied total. He's got a winnable matchup and has an elite .281 ISO split against right-handed pitchers this season.

Christian Yelich - OF, vs DET ($5,000)

The soon-to-be NL MVP is having a ridiculously strong finish to the season. He has been smashing value and has produced a few ceiling games, which is why the price is as steep as it is now. He brings an elite .416 wOBA to the dish and also has power upside (.272 ISO).
