FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (7/26/21): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

juan soto fantasy baseball rankings outfield MLB injury news

Mike Marteny highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 7/26/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Today, I celebrate my 300th article here for Rotoballer. It has been a fun ride for five months, and hopefully for many more. I will celebrate with another MLB slate on FanDuel. There are eight games today, but the Mets pissed in everyone's cheerios by starting at 5pm Eastern, so the slate is seven games tonight. We've got a few good games going though, leaving us plenty of options.

There doesn't appear to be any rain issues tonight. It's going to be warm and humid in KC and Philadelphia. Target Field may have the best hitting situation tonight with a 13 mph wind out to left field and a red-hot Detroit lineup coming in. Who will be the Tiger King tonight?

I'll be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for the FanDuel main slate on 7/26/2021. Be sure to also check out all the MLB player news, including late scratches, and the projected and confirmed daily MLB lineups for each DFS slate. You can also check out today's DraftKings MLB DFS lineup picks, and read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports too. Let's get to it!

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Cash Game/GPP Anchor Play:

Shohei Ohtani – LAA vs. COL ($11,000)

Ohtani gets to face the road Rockies tonight, a pitcher's best friend. The Blake Street Bombers are hitting a pathetic .204 when they move off of Blake Street and they strike out a lot, especially on the road. There are some really good, cheaper options on FanDuel tonight, but if you're playing cash, I don't think there's any way you fade Ohtani against the Rockies. No one else has close to the ceiling he does, especially with the Astros not letting Luis Garcia throw more than 90 pitches.

Potential Alternate Play

Dallas Keuchel – CWS at KC ($7,200)

I really hate the middle tier of pitching, so I'm going cheap. I don't hate Matt Manning since he has only allowed five runs in three July starts, but his lack of strikeouts keep his ceiling low. Keuchel doesn't have huge strikeout potential either, but it's a lot higher than Manning. Aside from the Tigers cleaning Keuchel's clock on July 3, Keuchel hasn't allowed more than three runs in a start since May 29. He's a relatively safe option on a slate that doesn't have many of them.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Joey Votto – 1B, CIN at CHC ($3,200)

Votto is turning back the clock of late. He hit .293 in June and is hitting .300 so far in July. Votto has been especially hot in the last six games. He has 10 hits in those six games with three homers, eight RBI, and five runs scored. He gets to face a familiar face in Kyle Hendricks today, whom Votto is hitting .364 against in 33 career at-bats with three doubles, three solo homers, 13 walks, and nine runs scored. Ride this hot streak from Votto while it lasts!

Jean Segura – 2B/SS/3B, PHI vs. WAS ($2,900)

Segura is quietly putting together a very nice season leading off for the Phillies. He has hit two of his six home runs on the season in the last five games and has driven in seven runs in the last seven games. The fact that he has eight hits already in just 16 at-bats against Joe Ross is just a bonus. Segura is going to get us some points tonight at a very reasonable price.

Kris Bryant – 3B/OF, CHC vs. CIN ($3,800)

The Cubs have played nine games against the Reds already this year. Bryant is hitting .417 off of Reds pitching in those nine games with four homers and eight RBI. He likes facing the Reds. Wade Miley is no exception. Bryant is hitting .444 against Miley in 18 at bats with a pair of homers, six runs scored, and three RBI against Miley. He's probably the only Cub I will have tonight, but I'll be over the field on Bryant.

Bo Bichette – SS, TOR at BOS ($3,800)

Bichette has only been held scoreless in DFS once since the Summer Solstice. He is hitting .344 in July and is in the middle of a very potent lineup. He only has two homers in July, but the 10 runs scored and 12 RBI still keep the floor pretty high. Bichette is also a big fan of Nick Pivetta. He has six hits in nine tries against him with two doubles, a homer, three runs scored, and three RBI off of him. Considering what Bichette has done this month, he should at least be able to keep up his career numbers against Pivetta.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Juan Soto – OF, WAS at PHI ($4,600)

Soto is on some kind of tear right now. He has six homers, nine runs scored, and 13 RBI in just nine games since the All-Star break. One of his 17 homers came against Philadelphia starter Spencer Howard earlier this season in much less favorable weather. Soto is expensive, but he is totally worth it right now.

Kyle Tucker – OF, HOU at SEA ($3,600)

Tucker gets to tee off on a rookie tonight. That can't hurt. Tucker continues our pattern of guys who are hitting the ball well right now. Tucker has three homers, eight RBI, and three runs scored in his last five games alone. Seattle isn't the best hitter's park around, but it's more friendly to lefties and Tucker is mashing right now. I'll take him.

Akil Baddoo – OF, DET at MIN ($3,500)

Baddoo has four of his nine homers and 13 of his 38 RBI on the season in the last nine games. He is leading off for a Detroit offense that is raking since the break. Yeah, they've done it against bad teams, but who cares? It all scores the same in DFS. The wind is more friendly to righties tonight in Minneapolis, but Baddoo has 12 RBI in 10 games against the Twins this year. He'll be just fine.
